Milo is a 10 year old male Kokoni Cross. He is our chocolate pudding rescue dog from Cyprus, which was adopted about 6 years ago in the UK.
Milo is an absolute delight, he loves being with his people curled up on the sofa, on their lap falling asleep, and just pottering around the home and garden.
Milo is friendly with other dogs and has shared his home with a few. He is also ok at meeting dogs out and about.
Milo also loves adventure, he is great off lead and will simply sniff for hours. He gets excited by the prospect of a squirrel but he will always come back.
Due to his age, he now prefers a quieter life, one that will involve a couple of smaller walks in the day for him to sniff and pee mainly, and then off home to catch up with his sleep.
If he is on a long walk, he will tell you when he is tired. Milo is crate trained and goes to his crate every night at 9 pm and wakes up at 7 am.
Milo is fully house-trained and doesn’t have any issues with toys and treats, or indeed sharing them, although he is not very much into toys now, he loves his food and will seek every opportunity to get some.
Milo is the first in the Kitchen when the fridge opens. He is perfect with children of any age and can be trusted around them, this must be supervised as with any child and dog.
Milo reacts to cats he sees in the street, but he none reactive to horses and cattle, he loves to get close and personal with them, and this can be dangerous for Milo, as he has no fear of them, so best to be on the lead at these times.
Milo accepts his Vet visits, he has his teeth brushed and his hair, and he manages his nails very well on his own.
This is a very difficult decision by the family to rehome both their dogs, but the unexpected changes in their lives mean that both dogs will need to go into quarantine in the country where they need to go.
Milo’s ideal home is with a retired person or someone with a slower pace of life that can give him a couple of small walks a day, and then sleep next to them on a sofa.
Milo needs a garden as this is what he is used to pottering around, some adventurous now and again He is neutered, microchipped and up to date with his vaccinations.
