6 year old female Lurcher Cross available for adoption

Skye is a 6 year old female Lurcher Cross. She was relinquished by her owner after she was taken to the vet to be put to sleep.

This poor little girl has had a horrific life in her previous home which has made her very fearful of people and she hates children, She will avoid eye contact and hide given the choice.

Skye’s history is heart-breaking, and when she arrived with us she was a very broken dog that would flinch at the touch and do anything to avoid eye contact.

Skye is a very different dog from us now but her new owners need to be calm and patient and be prepared to build up a bond with her, she doesn’t trust easily and this is understandable given how she was treated.

Skye is a real couch potato of a dog, she is very quiet and obedient, She would love a family to snuggle on the sofa with her all day. she loves a walk and walks lovely on the lead and is a real little beauty.

Skye is house-trained and non-destructive – happy to be left snoozing on the sofa by herself, and absolutely adores other dogs so could happily live with a companion but would equally be happy as the only dog.

Skye needs a calm dog with a similar nature to her, she wouldn’t cope with a boisterous dog, she has been bullied by a dog in her previous home and it took her some time to settle around other dogs without screaming at them with terror.

Skye loves our Whippet boy and will happily play and chase him in the security field, although she doesn’t seem sure of how to interact, she is learning. where Skye is concerned, Sofa is life! SHE IS NOT CAT TESTED.

Skye travels perfectly in the car and is a laid-back easy-going girl once she feels safe with you.

Skye can happily be left for short periods I don’t think she even notices you are gone!

Skye is a very friendly girl and would make a fantastic companion for an older couple or person on their own wanting company. Skye is neutered, microchipped de fled and wormed.
